Poland’s health ministry has launched a new helpline on which patients can get information on the availability of drugs in pharmacies across the country, state news agency PAP reported.
The helpline “received around a thousand calls during the first hour” after it was launched on Monday, Szumowski was cited by PAP as saying.
During the past week, Poland had been dealing with a drug shortage that has been linked by some to Europe's increased dependency on a limited number of overseas suppliers.
