Polish President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda welcomed Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary in a ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw before noon.

Later in the day, the Polish presidential couple and the Danish royals were expected to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Polish capital and meet war veterans.

Polish President Andrzej Duda and Denmark’s Crown Prince Frederik were also scheduled to attend debates on energy cooperation and clean air at Warsaw’s Bristol Hotel.

In the late afternoon, the Polish first couple and the Danish royals were scheduled to take part in a concert at Warsaw’s landmark Palace of Culture and Science venue to celebrate the centennial of diplomatic relations between their countries.

Warsaw and Copenhagen renewed diplomatic relations after Poland in 1918 regained independence in the wake of World War I, following 123 years of partition by Russia, Austria and Prussia.
