The figure was in line with an earlier estimate by the country’s labour ministry.
There were around 866,400 people without jobs at the end of December, up from 849,600 a month earlier, according to the government-run statistics agency.
The European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, said this month that unemployment in Poland was a modest 3.2 percent in November, the third-lowest rate in the 28-nation European Union.
