"We have not observed an increase in infections after the first round of the elections. The behaviour of Poles during the first round was extremely responsible,” said health ministry spokesman Wojciech Andrusiewicz.
He added: “What happened at polling stations should be appreciated… this is how we should behave on a daily basis.”
Poland’s June 28 election was conducted via a mixed system of traditional in-person and postal voting. Those turning up at polling stations had to wear gloves and face coverings.
No candidate won an outright majority in the first round.
Conservative incumbent Andrzej Duda will face centrist challenger Rafał Trzaskowski in a runoff election next weekend.
A total of 36,155 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Poland, with 1,521 deaths from the COVID-19 respiratory disease so far, officials said on Monday.
