Disabled people will also be able to jump the queue during the upcoming ballot, which is being held amid a coronavirus epidemic.

The rules on priority access have been introduced by the country’s health minister.

The first round of Poland’s presidential election did not lead to a visible rise in COVID-19 infections, the health ministry said earlier this week.

No candidate won an outright majority in the first round on June 28, when some voters complained of long queues.

Conservative incumbent Andrzej Duda will face centrist challenger Rafał Trzaskowski in a runoff election at the weekend.

A total of 36,689 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Poland, with 1,542 deaths from the COVID-19 respiratory disease so far, officials said on Wednesday.
