Krzysztof Szczerski, the president’s chief of staff, has said that Duda will focus on international relations as well as on cooperation with local authorities and all parliamentary groupings in Poland, aiming to solve the country’s most pressing problems and combat the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic aftermath.

Duda is to present a plan for his second term during his inauguration speech at the beginning of August.

Szczerski added that plans are being made for Duda’s first foreign trip following his re-election. His advisors hope the Polish head of state will visit Rome and the Vatican in early autumn.
