610th anniversary of Battle of Grunwald
610 years ago, on July 15, 1410, in the fields of Grunwald (now northern Poland), joint Polish-Lithuanian forces smashed the war machine of the Teutonic Knights.

For more than 20 years now, a big re-enactment celebrating the anniversary has brought hundreds of contemporary knights to Grunwald, along with tens of thousands of onlookers.
This year’s celebration has been small, albeit on a presidential level.
