It usually featured a big parade and gala presentation of glittering and colourful nativity scenes in Kraków: the annual competition which attracts crowds of onlookers to the Old Town Square. This year the contest - held for the 78th time - needed to be different, but as Elżbieta Krajewska reports, tradition proved stronger than the epidemic.
