Of the new cases confirmed on Monday, 29 were in the central region of Mazowieckie, which includes the national capital Warsaw.
Meanwhile, 16 new infections were reported in the neighbouring province of Łódzkie, which is home to Poland's third-largest city of Łódź.
The western province of Wielkopolskie, which is home to the major city of Poznań, had the third-highest number of new infections confirmed by officials on Monday, at 14.
The latest death in Poland’s coronavirus outbreak is a patient with pre-existing medical conditions, the Polish health ministry said.
On Sunday, Poland confirmed 11 deaths and 227 new coronavirus infections nationwide, compared with 47 deaths and 239 fresh cases a day earlier.
On April 8, the country reported its highest daily toll of 954 deaths related to the coronavirus.
On April 1, the Polish health ministry confirmed 35,251 new single-day cases, the most since the pandemic hit the country more than a year ago.
Poland's first case of coronavirus infection was reported on March 4, 2020.
1,982 in hospitals, 55,463 quarantined
The health ministry announced on Monday morning that 1,982 COVID-19 patients were in hospitals nationwide, 303 of them on ventilators, with a further 55,463 people quarantined for possible coronavirus exposure.
Meanwhile, 2,648,859 people have now recovered from COVID-19 throughout the country, the health ministry also said.
