Nearly 37 million COVID-19 shots administered in Poland: gov't data

Public health authorities said that 15,278 adverse reactions had been reported among those who received the vaccines by Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, a total of 391,290 doses have been wasted in the rollout, according to the Polish health ministry.

As of Sunday, Poland had injected over 19.6 million first doses of COVID-19 vaccines, while more than 19.2 million people had been fully inoculated, health ministry data showed.

The tally includes two-dose vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca as well as Johnson & Johnson's one-shot vaccine.

Poland on Sunday reported 540 new coronavirus infections and one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the country's total number of cases during the pandemic to 2,897,935 and fatalities to 75,488.
