During the gathering in Budapest, the prime ministers of Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia are expected to discuss the geopolitical situation in Europe as well as issues such as energy and cyber attacks, officials told reporters.

The Polish prime minister's office said ahead of the talks that rising energy and gas prices in Europe would be among the key topics on the agenda.

Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia together form the four-nation Visegrad Group (V4), a regional cooperation platform that they started in 1991.
