At a recent regional Visegrad Group (V4) conference in Lany, the Czech Republic, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Warsaw was an advocate of keeping the European Union’s doors open to aspiring members.

“I hope that clear EU accession criteria for North Macedonia and Albania are announced in October. This will be a test, showing what the EU’s open-door policy looks like. I hope that the EU passes the test,” Duda said.
