Poland to help Albania, North Macedonia in EU entry talks

Poland is arranging visits by EU foreign ministers to Albania and North Macedonia, in a move to support the two countries’ efforts to join the European Union.

Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said on Monday: “Poland is an advocate of an open-door policy… This is also about commitments we have heard from the European Union.”

He added: “Reforms [in Albania and North Macedonia] are on their way and it’s not necessary to hold the negotiations back until the reform process is completed.”
