The agreement was signed on Wednesday in Warsaw by Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak and his Slovak counterpart Jaroslav Nad'.
According to public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency, the deal includes conducting joint training and exercises.
"We are building a defence system that guarantees security for Poland and Slovakia, but also for the entire NATO eastern flank. Our efforts are coordinated,” Błaszczak was cited as saying by IAR.
IAR also reported that Slovakia’s Nad' is the first foreign government official to visit Poland after amid the coronavirus epidemic. According to Błaszczak, "this is an important signal emphasizing close Polish-Slovak relations."
Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary together form a regional cooperation platform called the Visegrad Group (V4).
