Rau will visit the German capital to hold face-to-face talks with parliamentary Speaker Wolfgang Schäuble and Finance Minister Olaf Scholz.
Scholz is the German Social Democratic Party’s (SPD) candidate for chancellor in upcoming national elections.
Rau is also expected to talk with the co-chairwoman of the German Green party and its candidate for chancellor, Annalena Baerbock.
After the talks, Rau will attend a press conference at the headquarters of the Polish Institute in Berlin, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.
