President Andrzej Duda said on Twitter: "My deepest condolences to the Royal Family and all the British people on passing of Her Majesty The Queen."
He added: "For decades she has been an embodiment of everything that makes Britain truly Great. She will be missed and remembered in Poland and all over the world."
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki described Queen Elizabeth II in a Facebook post as "an icon, a symbol of the power, culture and tradition of the United Kingdom, beloved by the British people."
"I had the honour of meting her in person," the PM added.
"May she rest in peace," he said.
Morawiecki added on Twitter: "We bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth II. She devotedly served her nation throughout her life. And she has served us by her example as a self-sacrificing, wise and prudent leader who knew how to lead her country through any storm."
Meanwhile, Poland's foreign ministry said in a tweet: “It was with great sadness that we received the news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.”
It added: “We join in sorrow with members of the British Royal Family, the British nation and people around the world.”
“May Your Majesty rest in peace,” the statement concluded.
Queen Elizabeth II was the UK's longest-serving monarch, having reigned for 70 years, news outlets reported.
She died at Balmoral, Scotland, at the age of 96.
Her family gathered at her Scottish castle after concerns over her health grew earlier on Thursday.
With Elizabeth II’s passing, her eldest son Charles, the former Prince of Wales, becomes the UK’s new King and head of state for fourteen Commonwealth realms, news outlets reported.
