Polish wages up y/y in Q2 2019: stats office

The average monthly wage in Poland in the second quarter of this year rose by 7 percent compared with the same quarter last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) has said.

The average gross monthly wage in the second quarter of 2019 was PLN 4,839.24 (EUR 1,119, USD 1,254), the statistics office reported.

The figure was 2.3 percent down on the first quarter of this year, according to the office.

The Central Statistical Office reported last month that average wages in Poland rose 5.3 percent in June compared with the same month a year earlier.
