Over 20 Polish companies, among them 17 specialising in new technologies, took part in the Poland-India Business Forum in New Delhi on Friday.

The goal of the event was to boost bilateral collaboration between Polish and Indian businesses in the fields of IT, green energy, waste management, smart cities and artificial intelligence.

The chief of the agency’s foreign trade office in India, Ada Dyndo, said that companies from India, which want to invest in Poland, may also count on assistance.

The office has been operating in the country for a year.

It helps to establish contacts and provides information about the rules of functioning on the Polish and Indian markets.

The forum was held to mark the launch of direct regular LOT Polish Airlines flights between Warsaw and New Delhi.

According to the Polish ambassador to India, Adam Burakowski, the connection will improve mutual economic relations. Burakowski added that there are many barriers and difficulties in India, however, investing there is easier than in many other Asian countries.

The Indian market is interested primarily in new technologies, but also in food industry products and logistics.

At present, several dozen Polish companies from the chemical, green technology and IT sectors are present in the Indian market, Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
