In month-on-month terms, industrial production in August was 6 percent lower than in July, the Central Statistical Office said.

In the first eight months of this year, industrial production in Poland was 4.3 percent higher than in the same period last year, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported, citing the state-run statistics agency.

Meanwhile, employment in Polish companies increased 2.6 percent last month on average in year-on-year terms, the statistics office reported on Wednesday.

The Polish economy grew 4.5 percent in the second quarter of this year, the Central Statistical Office said in a final estimate at the end of last month.
