"This is the lowest level of unemployment in almost three decades," Labour Minister Bożena Borys-Szopa told state news agency PAP.
According to preliminary labour ministry figures, there were 852,400 people unemployed at the end of September. That was 13,100 fewer than at the end of August.
Unemployment in Poland in August held steady at 5.2 percent, unchanged from July, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said last month.
