Hermès to open its first shop in Poland

Luxury brand Hermès will open its first retail outlet in Poland at the end of November.

The shop will be located on the ground floor of the Raffles Europejski hotel in Warsaw. It will the company’s 311th boutique in the world, Le Figaro reported.

Hermès is already operating in 49 other countries.

The company is known for its exclusive silk scarves and leather products, especially Birkin handbags, which can cost about EUR 10,000 or more per piece.

Hermès said in a statement that the opening is a new chapter in the history of the Parisian company and a confirmation of its presence in Central Europe.

Hermès is an independent family business with a record sales volume of nearly EUR 6 billion reached in 2018.

At the end of last year, Hermès employed more than 14,000 people worldwide, including nearly 8,500 in France. The company has 16 factories manufacturing leather products; all of them are based in France.
