In its latest World Economic Outlook report, the IMF predicts Polish GDP will grow 4 percent in 2019, one of the fastest rates of expansion in Europe.

In April, the IMF forecast 3.8 percent GDP growth for Poland this year.

The IMF predicts that economic growth in Poland will slow down to 3.1 percent in 2020.

Earlier this month the World Bank upgraded its forecast for Polish GDP growth this year to 4.3 percent, from a previous projection of 4 percent.

Poland’s central bank chief, Adam Glapiński, said this month that the Polish economy was in "excellent" shape and on track to grow 4.3 percent in 2019.

Poland’s largest bank, PKO BP, in August forecast that the Polish economy would grow 4.6 percent this year, exceeding many predictions.

The Polish economy grew 4.5 percent in the second quarter of this year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said in August in a final estimate.
