Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the expo has been postponed by a year and will run from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.

The event will give Poland an opportunity to promote itself internationally and drum up business.

Adrian Malinowski, general commissioner of the Polish section at the expo, said: “We want to use this moment to strengthen the significance of political and business relations with the host country and the entire Middle East region.”

He added that the importance of the day would be underlined by a meeting to be held between top officials from Poland and the United Arab Emirates.

“We are developing a cultural and entertainment program for this day to show the world our greatest Polish traditions and artistic achievements,” Malinowski said.

Over 200 countries and organizations are expected to take part in the Dubai expo. The organizers estimate that the exhibition will draw 18 million visitors.
