Around 54,900 housing units were completed nationwide between the start of January and the end of March, the office said.
It added that the number of housing starts in the first quarter of this year, at around 38,600 in total, was 27.6 percent lower than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, overall output in Poland’s construction-and-assembly sector decreased by 1.5 percent in March in year-on-year terms, while rising 30.6 percent month on month, the state-run statistics agency also reported.
Builders completed around 238,600 new homes in Poland last year, 1.7 percent more than in 2021, Statistics Poland said in a preliminary estimate earlier this year.
