Poland’s Ruda Śląska promotes things Irish

Ruda Śląska is a town of some 140,000 inhabitants, located in Poland southern Silesia region.

Since Wojciech Kostka, one of its residents, emigrated to Ireland 15 years ago, the town has done a great deal to promote Irish culture and traditions.

Interviewed for Radio Poland, Wojciech Kostka of the Polish-Irish Educational Association in Dublin says that the idea of annual Irish Festivals in Ruda Śląska is to bring together the two nations at community level.
