In a deeply moving tweet Warsaw Police headquarters bid farewell to six police dogs , killed during a Friday breakdown in a heating plant in the Praga district of the capital.
“On Friday six of our servicemen lost their lives- Magnet, Jogin, Edamis, Lasso, Jerk and Long We cannot find the words to expres our sorrow. Farewell our blue brothers. Our hearts go to the guardians of the dogs “ reads the tweet.
The plant failure took place on Friday, near the police barracks in Praga. The scalding waters from the broken pipes flooded the criminal laboratory where the dogs had their pens. The fire brigades ,called to the rescue ,could not pump out the boiling water due to the high temperature.
The causes of the breakdown are being investigated. The guardians of the dogs are under the care of psychologists.
