The animal was spotted by city patrol officers in the capital’s Skaryszewski Park on Thursday morning. They dubbed the elk “rose eater” after it devoured almost all the roses in the park’s rose garden, PAP reported.

The patrol called a wildlife officer, who decided to administer sleeping drugs in order to transport the elk out of the city.

According to PAP, the animal ran into a lake after being given the drugs and had to be fished out.
