High turnout in Polish presidential elections
Based on official results from 99.97 percent of polling stations, the State Electoral Commission announced on Monday that the turnout in Poland’s runoff presidential election at the weekend was 68.12 percent.

The turnout appears to have been the second highest since Poland’s first, partially free elections in 1989.
Jacek Kucharczyk , the President of the executive board of the Institute of Public Affairs think tank in Warsaw, says the high turnout is indicative of the deep divisions in Polish society.
