One dead, 24 hurt after bus with Polish tourists crashes in Hungary

One person was killed and 24 others were hospitalized with injuries after a bus carrying Polish tourists crashed in Hungary, Poland’s foreign ministry said on Sunday.

Three of the injured, including a five-year-old child, were in a serious condition, according to the foreign ministry in Warsaw.

The accident, near the city of Kiskunfélegyháza in the south of Hungary, occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The cause was not immediately known, the Polish foreign ministry said.

The Poles had been traveling back home from a vacation in Bulgaria, Poland’s state news agency PAP reported.
