Rich wildlife at Polish cemeteries

We've often reported on the historical interest of many cemeteries in Poland - such as Rakowicki in Kraków or Powązki in Warsaw, with their sculpted tombs dating back to the 18th century.

However, graveyards have also been attracting researchers from other areas - because of the traditional plants that grow there, and the rich wildlife, more varied and far less shy of humans than in parks.

Elżbieta Krajewska has been on the line to Prof. Piotr Tryjanowski from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań, western Poland.
