The decision was announced by the Family and Social Policy Minister Marlena Maląg on Monday, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

EUR 630,000 for support to socially excluded people

Maląg told PAP: “Next year we will earmark PLN 3 million (EUR 630,000) for the activation of socially excluded people.”

She added that “those who can apply for funding include entities running social-integration centres and social-integration clubs.”

Social-integration centres and social-integration clubs

Social-integration centres and clubs are referred to as “social-employment enterprises.”

They offer therapy services, employment and self-help activities to people in long-term unemployment, homeless people, people with disabilities and refugees, according to officials.

Through these services, the centres and clubs support the social and vocational reintegration of people suffering from social exclusion, the PAP news agency reported.

“The new funding will boost the chances of finding work for people who receive support from social-employment enterprises,” the family and social policy minister said.
