Four medals for Poland at world rowing championships

Poland has won four medals, one gold, two silver and one bronze, at the world rowing championships, which ended in Linz-Ottensheim, Austria, on Sunday.

Poland’s Mateusz Wilangowski, Mikołaj Burda, Marcin Brzeziński and Michał Szpakowski claimed gold in the Men's Four event.

Meanwhile, Agnieszka Kobus-Zawojska, Maria Springwald, Marta Wieliczko and Katarzyna Zillmann won silver in the women's quadruple sculls, and Dominik Czaja, Wiktor Chabel, Szymon Pośnik and Fabian Barański took another silver for Poland in the men's quadruple sculls.

The Polish duo of Mirosław Ziętarski and Mateusz Biskup claimed bronze in the men's double sculls.

Poland placed 10th in the overall medals table. New Zealand topped the table with six medals, four gold and two silver.

The 2019 World Rowing Championships were held in Linz-Ottensheim from August 25 to September 1.

Poland won four medals, one gold, two silver and one bronze, at this year's European Rowing Championships in Lucerne, Switzerland.
