Linette on Wednesday eased past China’s wildcard Liu Fangzhou 6-2, 6-3 in under an hour in the second round of the Jiangxi Open.
The Pole, ranked No. 45 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), was next due to take on Sweden’s Rebecca Peterson for a place in the semifinals.
The Polish player last month lifted her maiden WTA singles trophy at the Bronx Open tournament in New York.
