The match in the Japanese city of Fukuoka on Friday was the Poles’ first defeat in the tournament.
Poland, one of the world's strongest teams, kicked off their campaign with a 3-0 win against Tunisia on Tuesday.
They followed up with a 3-1 victory against hosts Japan a day later.
Poland, who are managed by Belgian coach Vital Heynen, take on Argentina in their next match of the Volleyball Men's World Cup on Saturday.
The World Cup started straight after the European Volleyball Championship, in which Poland took the bronze last Saturday.
