Lewandowski’s goals in the 10th and 84th minutes of play marked the 65th and 66th times the Polish star striker has scored in the Champions League across 87 matches.

The Polish marksman has found the back of the net 13 times in this season’s Champions League, where his Bayern defeated Chelsea 3-0 in the first leg of the competition’s round of 16 in London on February 25 before games were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Lewandowski’s Bayern will now take on Barcelona in Lisbon in a single-leg Champions League quarterfinal scheduled for Friday, August 14.

The Polish goal machine has finished runner-up in the ranking of the top scorers in Europe's biggest football leagues this season, behind Ciro Immobile of Italian outfit Lazio.

The 31-year-old Pole was in May crowned the top scorer of Germany's Bundesliga premier league in the 2019/2020 season, his fifth such trophy since he began playing in Germany in 2010.
