The Pole and the American eased past the French wild-card duo of Aubane Droguet and Selena Janicijevic 6-0, 6-1 in their first-round encounter on Wednesday.

Up next for Świątek and her US doubles partner at the Grand Slam tournament in the French capital will be the winners of a match pitting Russians Veronika Kudermetova and Elena Vesnina against Germany's Anna-Lena Friedsam and China's Wang Yafan.

Poland’s Świątek on Monday booked her place in the second round of the French Open women's singles after a 6-0, 7-5 victory against Kaja Juvan of Slovenia.

The 20-year-old Pole, who is defending her women's singles title in Paris, will on Thursday play Sweden's Rebecca Peterson for a place in the third round of the women’s singles at the 2021 French Open.
