In a blow for football fans in Poland, Legia were on Tuesday eliminated from the competition after losing 0-1 to Dinamo at home in the return leg of their Champions League round three qualifier.

Midfielder Bartol Franjić scored the only goal of the match for the Croats in the 20th minute in Warsaw.

The first leg of the qualifier in Zagreb a week earlier ended in a 1-1 draw.

Legia, who in May won the Polish premier league championship for the 15th time, will now play the Czech Republic's Slavia Prague for a place in the group stage of the lower Europa League instead.
