Poland will play Wales at home in the southwestern city of Wrocław on Wednesday before taking on Belgium in Brussels on June 8 and the Netherlands in Rotterdam on June 11.

On June 14, Poland will face off against Belgium on home turf in Warsaw.

Manager Czesław Michniewicz earlier this month released a list of 39 players called up for the four games.

The lineup includes star striker Robert Lewandowski, FIFA's world player of the year for 2020 and 2021, and other regulars such as Napoli midfielder Piotr Zieliński and Hertha Berlin forward Krzysztof Piątek.

Fresh faces include Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina and Cracovia defender Kamil Pestka.

English Premier League right-back Matty Cash, who became a Polish citizen last year, is also among those called up.

Lewandowski tells reporters his time at Bayern is over

During a news conference in Warsaw on Monday, Lewandowski, the Poland captain who plays for German champions Bayern Munich, said: "As it stands, my story with Bayern is over. After what's happened in the last few months, I believe a transfer will be the best solution. At the moment, I'm focusing on my training camp with the national team."

The Nations League is the European football governing body UEFA’s newest national-team competition that is now in its third edition.

The competition is designed to enable teams to play against those that are similarly ranked and may also offer an alternative path for teams to qualify for the 2024 European championships.

Portugal won the first edition of the Nations League in 2019, while France won the 2020/2021 UEFA Nations League after beating Spain 2-1 in the final in Milan in October.
