Ahead of the ceremony, she delivered a public lecture at the Swedish Academy, focusing on what she termed “the climate and political crisis.”
Tokarczuk was in October named the winner of the world’s most prestigious literary award, along with a cheque for almost USD 1 million.
She said earlier this month she was working to start a foundation to support culture at home and abroad.
