The concert’s highlights include Beethoven’s Fourth Symphony and two Polish works: Sinfonietta per archi by Krzysztof Penderecki, and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, featuring French conductor and pianist François-Frédéric Guy.

From Metz, the Sinfonia Varsovia will go to the Pays de la Loire region in western France, where it will give more than 20 concerts and perform during the annual La Folle Journée Festival in the city of Nantes.

This year’s La Folle Journée Festival coincides with the 250th anniversary of the birth of Beethoven and is dedicated exclusively to his musical legacy.

The Sinfonia Varsovia is expected to perform a wide range of works by Beethoven, including symphonies, piano concertos, instrumental miniatures, and vocal and instrumental compositions, together with the French choir Ensemble Aedes.

The Polish orchestra will be conducted by Nodoka Okisawa, Lio Kuokman and Mihhail Gerts. It will feature soloists including pianists Alexandre Kantorow, Boris Berezovsky, and Mao Fujita; violinists Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Diana Tishchenko, and Liya Petrova; and cellist Alexander Kniazev.
