Some foreign players appearing in Poland’s LOTTO Superliga top table tennis league will also be among those taking part.

In addition, fans will be treated to an exhibition match between 11-time national singles champion Lucjan Błaszczyk and racketlon player Norbert Stolicki.

The event aims to bring table tennis to a wider audience, according to Dariusz Szumacher, head of the Polish Table Tennis Association (PZTS), the national governing body for the sport.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the tournament will be held without spectators. It begins at 3:45 p.m. and will be broadcast live by Polish sports channel TVP Sport.

Poland on Saturday allowed public gatherings of up to 150 people, and it also relaxed face mask rules as it moved to the next phase of easing its coronavirus lockdown.
