The annual Lednica Youth Meeting will be held online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In previous years, thousands of young Polish Catholics gathered in the Lednica Fields in the west of the country for an event that usually ended with a walk at midnight under a massive structure known as the "Fish Gate" and symbolising Christianity.
The prayer vigil is traditionally held near where Poland's first ruler, Mieszko I, is thought to have been baptised in 966 AD.
About 93 percent of Poles declare themselves to be Catholics, according to a statistics institute.
The Lednica Youth Meeting event is now in its 24th year. It will be broadcast online at lednica2000.pl.
