Football: Lech Poznań lose 0-1 to Rangers in Europa League

Polish football side Lech Poznań lost 0-1 to Scottish Premiership club Rangers away from home in their Europa League group stage game on Thursday night.

The home side's Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos scored the only goal of the match in the 68th minute at Rangers’ Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow.

In their previous Europa League fixture, Lech Poznań lost 2-4 to Benfica at home last week.

Meanwhile, the Scottish side, managed by the former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard, claimed their second win in Europa League Group D.

Rangers beat Standard Liege 2-0 in their Europa League group stage opener on October 22.

Lech Poznań reached the Europa League group stage with a 2-1 win over Belgian outfit Royal Charleroi at the start of this month.

Meanwhile, Polish champions Legia Warsaw were eliminated from European competition after losing 0-3 to Azerbaijan’s Qarabag Agdam in their single-leg Europa League round four qualifier on October 1.
