Kuleba also said he and Blinken agreed to cooperate to ensure food transports from Ukraine reach their destinations in Africa and Asia.

“I am grateful to my colleague and the United States for their leadership and unwavering support,” Kuleba said, as quoted by Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.

The two politicians met during NATO Foreign Ministers summit in the German capital.

A day earlier, Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock pointed out that Moscow has been waging a “wheat war”, accusing Russia of blocking grain exports from Ukraine.

The Reuters news agency quoted Baerbock as saying that as a result “people will be dying in Africa and the Middle East,” adding that Russia’s actions pose a question of “what will happen if we don't have the grain we need that we used to get from Russia and Ukraine.”
