Poland wants EU cohesion funds used to fight coronavirus
EU cohesion funds should be tapped to cushion the impact of Covid-19 on the Polish economy, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said following talks with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Sunday.

“Some people are unable to work as we have shut down restaurants, cafes and bars. We want, in part at least, to compensate their financial losses. The Polish economy will certainly get hit… but the government would like to cushion the impact,” Morawiecki said.
