Poles urged to opt for domestic travel this summer

Despite the reopening of borders across the European Union, Poles have been encouraged to spend their vacations domestically rather than travel abroad this summer.

According to the Polish Tourism Organisation, 87 percent of Poles planning their holidays intend to spend them inside the country.

To attract visitors to various corners of the country, the organisation has launched a special campaign called "Spend Your Summer in Poland.”

The drive aims to help the tourism sector recoup at least a fraction of the losses it sustained due to the coronavirus epidemic, according to officials.
