Warsaw, Brussels to tackle migration challenges together?

Both Warsaw and the European Commission have accused Belarus of masterminding an unprecedented influx of migrants into Poland as a form of retaliation against EU sanctions.

"It is the EU’s external border so it is not only our responsibility," said Polish political analyst Marcin Zaborowski, referring to Poland's border with eastern neighbour Belarus.

"We have the right to expect some measure of solidarity, and it is in our interest to make this crisis more European and less of just a bilateral Polish-Belarusian problem,” he added.
