Ambassador thanks Poles for evacuating Afghans from war-torn Ukraine

Afghanistan's ambassador to Warsaw has thanked Poland for evacuating his countrymen out of Ukraine in the wake of Russia’s aggression.

In an interview with public broadcaster Polish Radio, Tahir Qadiry said he was moved by the hospitality and willingness of Poles to help his compatriots on arrival from Ukraine.

He noted that Poland also helped Afghans a few months ago when thousands of people fled his country after the Taliban took power.
