Tourists urged to help save endangered wildlife: audio report

Poles travelling to destinations around the world have been asked to help protect the planet's endangered wildlife and think twice before buying a souvenir overseas.

The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) aims to curb trafficking in wildlife, one of the biggest illegal trades globally.

International trade in products made from threatened species is strictly regulated, but travellers are often ignorant of the fact that a souvenir they want to bring back from a trip may be illegal.
