Two elderly women were injured as a result of a Russian strike on the village of Kozatske, according to Ukrainian officials.

In another attack, Russian shelling heavily damaged a hospital in the village of Bilozerka, the regional military administration said.

Meanwhile, a fire station was also damaged in an air strike in the area, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service.

On Monday, the Russian army shelled the Kherson region 101 times, killing two civilians, according to Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform.

Russian forces have relentlessly shelled Kherson since the city and surrounding area was liberated in November, British broadcaster Sky News reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.

Tuesday is day 608 of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
